"All paths lead to the top of the mountain, it is the path we take that
determines who we are when we get there." Rev.
Joseph Modica
We all find our paths
eventually. Some of us are blessed and we find our paths before it is too late. My guides went by the names of Millie and
Jerry Modica, my parents.
My
father worked 7 days a week 12 hours a day. Oops, only worked 8 hours on Sunday. Still got up every morning worked his 12
hours, came home to a nice hot meal cooked by his partner of 58 years. There were no sick days, or long vacations. No long
weekends. If he was sick, he went in regardless. He took 3 weeks vacation once a year, along with Thanksgiving, Easter
and Christmas. Do the math, that adds up to 24 days off a year!!. He worked the other 341 days at 12 hours a day. I got my
hard work ethic from pop along with other virtues. Mom
inspired me to follow my path from beyond. My healing path started when we found out that mom was going in for a radical
hysterectomy at age 79. We suspected that she had been suffering long before then. There was and is a history of cancer on
both sides of my family, but especially on my mothers side. They found cancerous cells during the operation and later diagnosed
it as Uterine Cancer. Uterine cancer is very aggressive and painful. I looked into Therapeutic Touch, a healing
modality, in the hopes that I could help ease my mother's suffering. While I was studying TT, I heard about Reiki. I
then went on to study and become both a Usui Reiki Master Teacher and Karuna
Reiki® Master Teacher under the instruction of William Lee Rand of Michigan. I am also an ordained Minister with Universal
Ministries, a non-denominational Spiritual Ministry. Mom
passed over at 7 am on October 3rd of 2006. I took a trip to England, the following January. I had a
reading and my mother came through telling me to do what makes me happy, no matter what friends or family think or say. I came
back to the states and thought long and hard. "Do I stay at a job and make a very good living, or retire and
work at what I love. I retired that April from both law enforcement of 17 years and the Army after 25 years of combined
active and national guard duty. I made 45 parachute jumps while serving with the 82nd Airborne Division. So, you can see that
my background may not be that of a typical "healer", but it helped me to experience the "real" world in
many ways. My intention is to help as many "two and four leggeds"
as possible in "THIS" lifetime. I also work with animals, large and small. Fur-Fin or Feather...
Namaste' Reverand Joseph Modica, Non Denominational Spiritual Ministry Testimony
I've been an Usui Reiki master practitioner and teacher for nine years and a Karuna Reiki master teacher
for six years. I've been involved in energy work my entire life but with training I got a vocabulary for it. I've attended
workshops with many Reiki teachers, Quantum Touch practitioners, and Light Body workers and none compare to the Loving Energy
I still carry with me today from Joe's sessions. During an appointment with my attending physician and chiropractor
it was witnessed how much progress in healing had taken place. There was noticeable improvement in my endocrine and immune
systems. Joe Modica possesses an intuitive mind that remains ego-less. He is trustworthy and kind with a knack for gentleness.
A myriad of visions and insights came to me during the healing sessions with Joe and I will be eternally grateful for his
facilitation in finding myself again. - Jan Kendall, International Center For Reiki Training, Michigan, USA
